Termite Control

Termites are habitual creatures meaning their activity has patterns. In nature, termites play an important role in consuming fallen wood debris, but when displaced by human activity and urbanized dwellings, they become a formidable pest. However, once they take up residence in your home or property they are really hard to get rid of and will begin to damage your property almost immediately. That’s where a professional pest management solution comes in—we are equipped and ready to provide a custom termite management program for your home or property. All of our technicians are extremely knowledgeable of termites, their terrain, detection of their activity, and management/control.

PestAssured, LLC does a considerable amount of termite prevention work with new construction as well as management programs for existing homes and properties. We offer bait station systems as well as Termidor liquid treatments which act as a barrier between structure and termites.

While we offer options, we highly recommend our Trelona® ATBS Advance® Termite Baiting System, they feature a superior design that leads to fast termite hits. In fact, in a university study, termites found ATBS Stations faster than Sentricon stations. In this study, ATBS and Sentricon stations were placed within 0.5 meters of an active termite colony. The study had 20 replicates and stations were checked daily over 46 days producing the results to the right.

Trelona ATBS Annual Bait Stations, with the active ingredient Novaluron, don’t simply reduce the number of termites. It achieves ongoing structural protection through colony elimination.

In the images below:

In the study to the below, 4 termite-infested trees were surrounded with Trelona ATBS Annual and another 4 with Trelona ATBS Annual plus a Termidor® Dry termiticide treatment, and 4 more were left untreated as controls.

All trees treated with Trelona ATBS Annual showed no termite activity after 4 months and remained inactive at 24 months, compared to untreated trees that continued to show activity throughout the study.

Knowing the difference between a Winged ant vs termite swarmer

Swarming termites are often mistaken for flying ants as they look very similar. Below are some distinguishing traits between the two insects. Ants have three body parts plus an elbowed antenna with a 90-degree bend. Termites do not have a PINCHED WAIST like the ants and have straight antennas. See image below:
